Wanted hotpot/shabu but didn't want AYCE and this place serves fixed portions. First time having Korean style hotpot, there is only one broth which was light and tasty, with a strong perilla leaf flavor. Tried the American Wagyu and Brisket plates, the wagyu was noticeably more tender than the brisket and was therefore more enjoyable to eat. I also have never been to a place where the shabu vegetables and sliced thinly, and I honestly enjoyed it in this style. After shabu, they make an udon soup for you and then finish off with a congee porridge. It was a fun experience and the servers were so kind. Was able to easily find street parking for free on a weekend evening and the place is nicely lit inside.

This place is very homey and a must go, especially when it's raining outside. It's just hit the spot. I never try to barbecue menus but their shabu shabu menu is just the best in my opinion. it comes with a lot of options of protein and it comes with Banchan and veggies and at the end of the meal you will enjoy udon and porridge using your shabu shabu broth. The auntie who works there are nice too and they recommend what portion is good for how many people. Parking is valet in the back.

I've been coming here for decades. It seems that they have remodeled the interior and now instead of ordering the dish "Genghis Khan", the menu is centered around "shabu" which is what the aforementioned dish basically was. I love that you can now pick the protein and the veg etc that will go in the shabu. It is a lot of food, so when I came here with my friend, we just ordered one meat. The mix of veggies that come with the order are so delicious - the perilla leaves really add such a unique flavor and I love how the veggies are shredded which makes it easier to eat. The tangy dipping sauce is perfection and they also give you udon noodles followed by the final dish of congee being Made with the the leftover broth from the shabu. It was so much food we ended up taking most of the congee home. The women who helped us were very sweet. This is such a treat to have - Korean Shabu!

Husband and I love coming here regularly. We always get the chuck steak shabu shabu combo. They make you udon soup and porridge (jook) at the end with the remaining broth. Very delicious and filling - perfect amount of food for us. They recently added sushi to their menu! The rainbow roll was really fresh. The fish portions were big too. Good spot for groups/families. Always friendly and attentive service. Parking is valet $3

My wife and I have been coming here for many years. We have a few fond memories of eating here. It was closed for a while due to the pandemic. It has recently reopened with new owners, I believe. Their soups/shabu hot pots are very good with lots of choices of meats (duck, beef, seafood, and vegetables). They even have premium meats like short rib and even wagyu beef. I feel you don't need them for shabu/shabu since the meats are sliced very thinly. But, for bbq, they would be great. They have naengmyeon cold noodles, bibimbaps, and a la cart bbq choices. The menu is simple but delicious and very nice tasting. The inside is very new and nicely decorated and modern. The servers are very friendly and can help answer questions or give suggestions on what to order.

$3 valet. Light comfort Korean hot pot, kbbq and other dishes. Our friend loves duck shabu. If you like quality, light foods/lots of veggies, but still want to leave just filled enough, this is the place. You won't be overly stuffed. The staff may encourage more than the portion size we needed since we were going light. Banchans were delicious!! They can be strict with the salad refill that is only refilled as long as you have meat still on the grill. Both kbbq and shabu comes with rice mixtures into it after. Kbbq will include a fried rice cooker on the hot plate after, and a porridge mixture in the shabu after. This is typical for from what I know about OG Korean restaurants....I don't see this much anymore within modern and/or westernized restaurants. Family restaurant.

We went here twice in a span of a week. Mostly because of the convenience of location to where we are meeting family. The restaurant has a parking lot which charges a $3 parking fee on the weekends. The first time we went, we ordered the barbecue. Several orders of marinated kalbi and also the unmarinated. At almost $50 an order we ordered six for a total for a group of eight, an order of the seafood pancake, and a cold noodle soup. We were a smaller group on a weekday for the second time, so we just ordered soups from the lunch special Overall, the flavors of the dishes were good. No complaints as to authenticity. The only comment that I would make is the seafood pancake was meh, especially for the price, so I probably wouldn't order again except we always have it with Korean barbecue.

I was today years old when I found out that Korean shabu was a thing! I've only ever tried chinese hotpot and japanese shabu but I figured Korean shabu wouldn't be too far off. The main distinction I noticed is that the veggies are finely chopped, so that you can get a bite of veggies with each piece of meat. There's only one preset broth, and I believe it was an anchovy kelp stock. Seoul Garden also serves the shabu combo in courses. First the server cooks the veggies and meat for the table. Once the table finishes the meat & veggies, the udon is served. The last course was making porridge from the leftover shabu stock! A bowl of rice, egg, seaweed & sesame oil is added to the pot and mixed until it thickens. The meat prices are definitely on the pricey side though. If you order the shabu combo, you have to pick 2 meats and the prices vary between the meat choices. Overall such a cozy and filling meal.
